Baby Gabrielle Jamie is Here!

Baby Gabrielle Jamie is here! She was born on Monday July 17, 2017 at 10:26pm. Currently, she is three weeks old and growing fast.

Being a new mom is an exciting, surprising, and rewarding duty. I have taken care of babies in the past by watching my niece and nephew, but having a newborn that is all yours all day, every day is something else. Here is how my days have gone since bringing her home from the hospital:

-Wake up in the morning, usually with her on my chest, lying next to me on my bed, or in the crib. She is still getting used to sleeping in the crib by herself, but she is getting used to it more everyday.

-Breastfeed so her belly becomes nice and full and round.

-Change her diaper so she is nice and dry and comfortable. I also put a fresh onesie or cute outfit on her.

-I put her in the MamaRoo or on her Boppy, which the latter she loves more. She will chill like this for awhile as I eat breakfast and straight up around the house.

-She may begin to cry for more milk and just to be held.

-I breastfeed her while watching television. We often fall asleep together tummy to tummy for an hour or two.

-We wake up from our nap and I breastfeed her again. She likes to breastfeed everyone two to three hours. In between breastfeeding, she likes to suck on her pacifiers.

-I will stay awake from our nap but Gabrielle usually takes another nap before her next feeding.

-Her dad comes home on lunch break (during the weekdays) to hang out with us and have daddy and daughter time, if Gabs is awake,

-After her daddy goes back to work, Gabs and I breastfeed, sleep, and read a book and listen to music throughout the day until bedtime.

-Overnight, Gabs will wake up every two to three hours to breastfeed.

-The next day starts and we do it all over again. =)

I love being a new mom and I love her.
