First Day of my Third Trimester

I can't believe that today I am beginning my third trimester! According to the pregnancy app I'm Expecting on my iPhone, I have 93 more days until the estimated due date. So strange but I am excited to be getting closer and closer to meeting my baby.
My first trimester, for most pregnant women, was the hardest. To hear the entire experience of my first trimester, go to the Videos tab on this blog and watch El and Cort: My First Trimester. I will be making El and Cort: My Second Trimester in the near future, so look out for that.
My second trimester was much easier than the first trimester. I was puking less, eating more, and not as exhausted. The best part about my second trimester was being able to go out and enjoy the day without having any major symptoms that prohibited me to do so. I will puke from time to time if I get overheated or if the previous night I did not sleep well, but it was still far less than the first three months. Although I had to eat a lot of specific foods in my first and pretty much nothing else, like hummus, fish, pizza, and avocado, I still had to eat a lot in my second but not of particular foods. I still do crave specific foods but I can still eat other cuisines and be fine. I'm loving my deli spicy turkey sandwiches from the corner store for lunch! I am also craving leafy greens like spinach and collard greens big time. Cort will catch me at the stove eating straight out of the leftover dinner vegetable pot. Tastes soooo good. I take less naps and can function throughout the day without crashing at night. Before I was pregnant, I was a night person and did not go to bed until close to midnight. Now that I am pregnant, I find myself going to bed before 10:30p most of the time. All in all, I can say that my second trimester wasn't too bad.
Going into my third, I am starting to feel more upper back pain, and during the night, lower right sharp back pain (more like upper right booty pain) that strikes when I am trying to change positions during sleep. I also feel pelvic pain while walking and when I change positions during sleep too. On a more positive note, I can feel my baby moving so much more (video of belly movement while be coming soon to our YouTube channel). Sometimes I will play classical music on Pandora on my phone and put it up to my belly for the baby to hear. It seems as though the baby stops moving to listen in, and when a song goes off, the movement will continue until the next song comes on. So funny. Cort and I both love music (he is a singer and rapper and I play the clarinet), so I believe we have a music-loving baby coming into this world!
